Professional Development
MnAEYC supports the leadership and development of early childhood professionals. We do this, in part, by offering numerous trainings each year, including an Annual State Conference and a Summer Leadership Institute.
Research shows that 90 percent of brain development occurs between birth and age 5. Well-prepared, well-trained professionals have been shown to be more likely to provide the type of responsive care and education children need to be successful.

Our Annual State Conference runs the first full weekend in February each year. For 2024, we will meet February 2-3, 2024. We bring national and local experts to speak on their areas of expertise. We also offer a place to explore exhibitors from a variety of areas of the field.
Winter Leadership Institute
Winter Leadership Institute is held the day before Annual Conference as a pre-conference event. An opportunity for program leaders, aspiring leaders, and partner programs to come together and learn and get inspired for our work.
Summer Leadership Institute
Summer Leadership Institute is held in July each year. We come together as program leaders, emerging leaders, and partner programs to learn and get inspired for our work.
