1. Child
Care WORKS - "Child Care WORKS, a statewide
coalition of organizations and individuals since 1983,
educates about and advocates for quality care and
education for all Minnesota's children and their
families."
2. Children's
Defense Fund - MN - "The mission of the children's
Defense Fund is to Leave No Child BehindŽ and to ensure
every child a Healthy Start at Head Start, a Fair Start,
a Safe Start, and a Moral Start in life and successful
passage to adulthood with the help of caring families
and communities."
3. Ready
4 K - "Ready 4 K is a campaign working to bring
about comprehensive policy change on behalf of
Minnesota's children, their parents, and their
caretakers."
4. Voices for Children Advocacy Day is an annual rally day at the Minnesota State
Capitol. Participants come from all parts of the state
and all sectors of early childhood and school-age care and
education to advocate for children, families, and
communities. The next rally day is scheduled for March 29, 2007. Everyone is welcome at the planning meetings.
