Sabes Jewish Community Center Early Childhood Center is seeking full-time Toddler/Preschool Teachers and Assistant Teachers to work with children ages 22-38 months. Applicants must have a minimum of one year previous teacher or toddler care experience and be DHS Rule 3 Teacher qualified. Fraser School Early Childhood Special Education Coordinator
Fraser, a nationally renowned MN non-profit, is seeking a full time education professional with strong administrative skills to provide indirect service, classroom support, coordination of services and consultation for all children who have special needs at Fraser School in Richfield, MN.
The ECSE Coordinator will use their Special Education expertise to help consult and support Teachers on inclusion in the classroom. Specific responsibilities will include:
- Provide a variety of adaptations and modifications for curriculum activities so that children at Fraser School with special needs are able to fully participate
- Review all Individual Education Plan s and ensure that Fraser staff are incorporating goals and objectives into daily classroom activities
- Act as a liaison between Fraser School and other Fraser services and to school districts for children who are served by Fraser and the school district
- Ensure that classroom staff have the information and support needed in order to best serve the children in their classrooms who have special needs
- Organize and work with Marketing to publish the monthly Fraser School newsletter
- Mentor classroom staff in child development and inclusion
- Assure that classrooms are staffed appropriately for afternoon extended day
- Assist with staffing in the classroom as needed
- Provide consultation to other Fraser program areas and external programs as requested
Qualified candidates must have a 4-year degree in a related field (Early Childhood / Special Education, Elementary Education, Child Psychology, etc.) and a current Minnesota license in Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE). Must be a team player with experience in Early Childhood Special Education, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to lift and carry 40 pounds. Current First Aid and CPR Certification are also required.

TITLE: Community Impact Program Manager – Children and Families
Greater Twin Cities United Way unites caring people in building stronger communities by inspiring people to help others, increasing resources to meet needs and fostering innovative solutions to problems.
This position will play an instrumental role in reaching our Agenda for Lasting Change which focuses on 10 goals in three key areas – the building blocks for a good life. This position will focus on the following community issue - High school graduation rates can be predicted from third-grade reading success. In our community, a large academic achievement gap exists between students from low-income families and students who have greater access to resources. This gap widens throughout school, resulting in vastly divergent high school graduation rates.
This position will work with the Children and Families team to ensure measurable results against the goal of increasing the number of third-graders from low-income families reading at grade level to 80% by 2012. The Children and Families area is also charged with reducing family violence by increasing access to services 20 percent by 2012 and reach 15,000 additional youth through quality out-of-school time programming by 2012.
This position will build expertise and create a depth of knowledge about literacy and academic achievement with a focus on elementary age students and the human services and education systems. The position will be responsible for grant development and management for programs and initiatives. This position will be a community leader building relationships with a variety of stakeholders to assess the most pressing issues in our service area.
Qualifications
? BA/BS degree required in human service, communications, social sciences, elementary education or related field.
? Minimum of 5+ years work related experience.
? Minimum of 3 years program management/development experience.
? Experience with collaborative partnerships.
? Experience in analyzing data.
? Experience in group facilitation skills and utilizing a team approach to solving issues.
? Excellent written and verbal skills.
