Duluth Association for the Education of Young Children Presents: The Nature of Childhood – 2010 Early Years Conference Featuring Bev Bos & Michael Leeman March 6, 2010 Lake Superior College 8:00 am – 3:00 pm Register early! Space is limited! Speakers Bev Bos has been the Director and Teacher at the Roseville Community Preschool in Roseville, CA for over 40 years. She is the author of four books; Don’t Move the Muffin Tins, Before the Basics, Together We’re Better and Tumbling Over the Edge. Bev lectures around the country and internationally on topics in her field of expertise -- early childhood education. Among them are creative art, music and language, science for young children, and helping children learn to socialize in a natural way. She has spoken many times at the National Association for the Education of Young Children conference as well as for many state AEYC affiliations. While maintaining a very active lecture schedule, Bev continues to teach three mornings a week. Bev is the mother of five grown children and grandmother to fourteen. Michael Leeman has co-presented with Bev Bos to a wide variety of organizations of parents and teachers on topics of art, music, creativity, science and child development since 1984. Beside his work as a musician, editor and illustrator, Michael also works at the Roseville Community Preschool. Recently, he compiled and illustrated the parent/teacher resource book titled Chants, Fingerplays & Stories. He also has many recordings of music and storytelling with Bev Bos and Tom Hunter. Michael lives with his wife Carrie and two daughters in Roseville, CA. For more information, download the Word document here.
